...I laugh while they vomit.

...student orientation regarding the shoot...
...nightfalls.... we visited the Malinta Tunnel...
...creepy place (thousands of soldiers died during World War 2).
...You'll have a creepy feeling the someone or something lurks in the dark...
...Rainy day followed as the storm came.
Came home with a storm.....

It was planned way back there then before the end of the term. We were kinda hoping that this time it's no LaLuz. No, don't get me wrong. I love LaLuz! But I've been like many times! So it was a majority decision of all. We should go to another place. But where?

Ok ok. So they found a place named Munting Buhangin. Never heard of the place. So the day was set. Then came May 6. The bus was already then when I arrived. But we have to wait for the others. Lorraine said I could take a ride in Danvic's cars. We left earlier that the bus. Off we go in Danvic's car. We arrived I think 45 minutes earlier that the bus.

It was a shocked to us when we arrived! THE PLACE WAS CRAP!!!!!!!! I told the guys that I can't stand the place! We had long faces when we arrived. Crap, crap, crap! The place was too crowded that it actually looks like I'm in Divisoria! I immediately texted the guys who rode the bus.

Good thing that there was actually a boat ride off to a nearby island. We took our chances there. In fact the only thing that didn't suck there is that trip the island.

The island was wonderful! Good place to snorkel! And the seaweeds are thick that it looks like a forest underneath! Lots of fishes to see and the beautiful colored corals were amazing!!!!!

Anyway, if I ever they decided to go back to that resort next year.... well guys, just dropped me off to that island instead and leave me there nalang. Sa susunod LaLuz nalang ulit!

A trip to Ticao Island Resort (March 3-5)

We left Thurs night at CSB and from there it was a long way to travel. We travelled like 12 hrs or so and my butt hurts! And bus airconditioning was very very cold. haha. Most of us did not bring any jackets and stuffs... we're going to the beach remember? Good thing we have something to watch on board the bus. And all went to sleep when "Nico" (an old film by Steven Seagal) was played.... BORING!!!!!

After the bus it was a boat ride to the island. All of us were starving when we arrived. After having our lunch, we had a short briefing on what to do and the room assignments. But that day wasn't enough for we have few strenghts left in us.

The following day was better. After having breakfast, we armed our cameras and off we go! Me and Robert rode of a boat and went to nearby island. It was really really beautiful and the locals were very very friendly. I even went to the swamps and took shots within the mangroves. After that we rode our boar again and off to another Island. There are lots of stuff to see.... eagle, fiddler crabs, starfishes, seagrasses, et al. One of the local family even picked up "starapples" for us.

Anyway, the following day after leaving the island, we visited the town of Cagsawa which is a historical area. And at the back, you could the grandiose view of Mayon Volcano. I'd only seen pics of Mt. Mayon and I never thought that I was that beautiful.

Oh well, it was a very fun trip. Still hoping to visit the island again.

Media Max Video & Photography Workshop (Jan 14-15 La Luz)

It was nice to back (again) at La Luz! This time we came to have a video & photography workshop mainly for frosch & sophomore MMA students. I had my stuff packed the night before we left to make sure that I won't leave anything behind.

Ok, I didn't sleep that night coz I had lots of projects to finished and I was up all night working. So by the time we rode the bus I was half awake. In didn't even kept track of the time then. So when we arrived at La Luz (c. 11am), we immediately unpacked our stuff and ate lunch. The students had a brief orientation on what to do and off we go!

Highlights of that trip would be the diving part!!!!
It was really, really fun!!!

Batad Trip

BATAD, BANAUE TRIP (Nov 25-28)

It was very long and tiring journey. We left CSB Friday at around 10PM, from then it was a long travel (9 hrs). But we manged to amused ourselves in the bus. We got drunk on our way there. But we didn't expect the zig-zagging road to be very dizzying. It was a lot curvy en route to Bagiuo. And the result? Most guys who got drunk vomited (hehehe.... including me). We have 3 stop overs and I enjoyed the one where we have "beef mami"! And I vomited on every stop over we had. Hakhakhak.

Anyway, when we got off the bus, we took a ride off the jeep for about an hour or so. We taught it was over... only to realize that we have to walk for 2 hrs from the jeep's last stop to the inn!!!!! Believe me, I had a hard time coz, 1.) I had a hangover from the brandy we drank, 2.) didn't had any sleep during the travel, 3.) my backpack was loaded and it was really, really heavy! and 4.) my stomach was empty coz I had vomited my guts off during our travel. We'll anyway we all managed to reach the inn. We took some rest and had lunch. I even checked out some shirt (which sez "I Survived Batad" printed on it! Yes, the one on my pic) and other stuff made by the locals.

After a few minutes we then set off to the waterfalls. But we all got a heck of a surprised when we found that it was almost 3 1/2 trek and climb of the mountain!!! We were breathing our lungs out and my tongue was hanging like an exhausted dog. Nevertheless, when we reached the 30ft tall waterfalls, it was a sight to behold! I enjoyed taking a dip of the very cold waters(feels like it came off from the refrigerator)!

It was one heck of an experience we'll never forget when we went our way back to the inn. By the time we reached half way our journey, it was nighttime!! It was tough coz there isn't any light to guide us except for a few flashlights which some have managed to bring along. It was very difficult to trek the side of the cliff and I myself was having trouble guiding the students. I don't know how we did it... but we all reached the inn in one piece!

My New Tattoo!

Got my new tattoo last June 28.
Ha, it took quite a while get a new one! My Hellshock tattoo on the left side of my neck WAs getting lonely! But what design and where? It took me quite a while to come up with a design. Originally I plan to have two on my back.... I already had a concept back then.

Then I realized that my design is way to comlicated. I even wondered if the tattoo artist is capabe of tattoooing such design. Oh wait.... I dunno who that person is! I'm quite a paranoid when it comes to tattoos. Lots of concern actually. First off tattoos are permanent. Once it's there... you can do nothing about it. Second of course is the health concern.

Ok ok. So i had sleepless nights thinking what, where, who, & when.
What: The design. How large or small? It should represent me. It should be something twisted, hideous, & grotesque.
Where: Part of my body. Back, arm, chest, legs, shoulder, left or right?
Who: Whos the mortal who would lay art on thy skin?
When: How long wil it take to heal would be my concern since classes started early at CSB.

My first concept fo the design was the cover of Morbid Angels album "Altar of Madness" since I'm a big fan of Dan Seagrave! Then I planned on having a logo of either Iron Maiden or Judas Priest on my right arm since the two bands made me the sshole I am today (hahaha!). Or how about a H.R. Giger influenced tattoo on my back with a biomechanical design of a spine? And of course lots of crazy ideas. I even joked about having DaVinci's "Last Supper" on my back! Hahaha!

Then a student of mine suggests that I should visit Ricky Sta. Ana. She says the guy is good and quite popular in school. She had her tattoo with Ricky. So we paid a visit at Ricky's Place at Cartimar (Pasay). Then I talked to the guy about the designs, etc. He made some suggestions and tips. Then the schedule is set for my tattoo day! (By the way.... thanks Nina!).Although the schedule was moved once, twice or thrice maybe, my tattoo day came June 28, 2005 around 4:00 PM. Had an acid burnt screaming tormented souls with maggots crawling out of it!

What can I say? I am truly satisfied!
